Block Width: 29.69m | House Width: 26.69m
The Wonnerup is named after a famous homestead just out of Busselton: Wonnerup House, owned by the Layman family, original settlers in the Busselton region. A long verandah embraces the wide frontage of the home. While having the charm of colonial homes, it uses modern materials to enhance its appearance and bring it into today.
A large double garage is situated in one corner which can address the frontage, or if it’s a corner block off the other corner street alignment. A gable breaks up the long roof line and adds a focus to the elevation. The grand foyer runs off the entry and leads one into the free form living area or off the other side to the private master suite. From the free form hub, one has a vista to the outdoors and a direct relationship to the large entertainment area, kitchen, and bedroom wing. With this design, we have maximised views to the rear.
The kitchen, free form living, alfresco and entertaining area all take advantage of this outlook. The Wonnerup is zoned into two living spaces with an adult’s wing with access to the office, master suite and entertainment area at one end, and the bedrooms and media centre in the other wing. Direct access from the garage is also obtained through this wing.
When designing the Wonnerup, we incorporated some luxury items as well as accommodating the needs of a family. The big corner bath in the ensuite, the separate powder room with hand basin, the large walk-in pantry in the kitchen, the oversized bathroom and laundry, all bedrooms equipped with loads of robe space and we have a linen in the laundry as well as a walk in linen store next to the garage.
