The careful placement of furniture and rugs will allow you to design each of these spaces to create ‘zones’ that you can use with ease.
Another living room design tip is to create a consistence colour palette through your living room. We suggest opting for a neutral colour base for large scale items such as flooring and furniture and incorporate colour through the use of home décor and accessories such as pillows, vases etc. This way you can replace create a new colour theme without spending a fortune.
Layering is another interesting concept you can employ to satisfy your tastes and ideas. For instance you can pursue a personalized, rustic country living room, where rustic metals with dazzle on wooden basis and the furniture will be a genuine heritage from your grandma’s attic storage. On the other hand if you believe it should depend on the season, add some seashells and hang beautiful beach landscapes.
Whatever you do, keep in mind it is your living room that you’re decorating and it will be you who’s going to spend the most time in it. Make it personal!
