Beneath Winter Skies: celebrating the beauty of WA
Winter in Western Australia is a season of quiet beauty and dramatic landscapes. As cool breezes sweep across the countryside, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking tapestry of textures and tones. From misty mornings over rolling hills to rugged coastlines battered by winter swells, there’s no better time to appreciate the incredible diversity of the State we call home.
At WA Country Builders, we are proud to build across the vast and varied landscapes of Western Australia – from the coastal stretches of Geraldton to the tall timber forests of Manjimup, and everywhere in-between. Each region offers its own unique beauty, particularly during the cooler months.
To celebrate this special season, we invited our team to capture their surroundings. Living and working across WA, our team members have a front-row seat to some of the State’s most remarkable natural wonders.
Across the south-west, ancient karri and jarrah forests stand tall, shrouded in soft morning fog. In the wheatbelt, golden canola fields begin to bloom. Along the coast, turquoise waters create a powerful, ever-changing scene, while further inland, rivers and creeks come alive after the first rains, breathing new life into the surrounding bushland.
Wildlife, too, plays its part in the winter story. Kangaroos bounce across dewy paddocks, while black cockatoos fly through the mist. Delicate winter wildflowers like the Cowslip Orchid and Green Kangaroo Paw begin to emerge, reminding us that even in the cooler months, nature continues to thrive.
