Beneath Winter Skies
Winter in Western Australia is a season of quiet beauty and dramatic landscapes. As cool breezes sweep across the countryside, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking tapestry of textures and tones. From misty mornings over rolling hills to rugged coastlines battered by winter swells, there’s no better time to appreciate the incredible diversity of the State we call home.
At WA Country Builders, we are proud to build across the vast and varied landscapes of Western Australia – from the coastal stretches of Geraldton to the tall timber forests of Manjimup, and everywhere in-between. Each region offers its own unique beauty, particularly during the cooler months.
To celebrate this special season, we invited WA Country Builders’ staff to capture their surroundings. Living and working across WA, our team members have a front-row seat to some of the State’s most remarkable natural wonders.

Spotting a shag watching an incoming storm in Bunbury Harbour, Glenn pulled over to take a picture. “The moment just emphasised the raw beauty and undeniable strength of a winter’s storm,” he says.

As the sun set over Karajini Eco National Park, senior estimator David Upton knew it was a moment he had to capture. “The sun had basically gone down but it still had an amazing feel to it, so I had to get the camera out. I couldn’t get over how it just looked so peaceful.
“When I first looked at it, I knew it was going to be a special shot for me to keep, so I also had it blown up and put on canvas.”
