When considering their future home, the clients were keen to demolish the existing property and start from a blank canvas – and yet didn’t want to lose the existing wine cellar.

The resulting home has been built around the original cellar, with a spiral staircase added for access and aesthetics. At the clients’ request, the home features a lift, as well as a concealed scullery and laundry, allowing the main living areas to remain as the focal point of the interior.

Maison Blanche is a contemporary home bathed in natural light from every angle, which has been designed to enjoy the south-west breeze. A gas fireplace nestled in floating cabinetry takes centre stage on the ground floor, adding warmth and sophistication. Upstairs, three spacious bedrooms, a sitting room and balcony complete this bespoke residence.
