The Slab

Whatever the type of home you want to build, single or double storey, first home or luxury home, we offer a choice of construction: double clay brick, reverse brick veneer, and framed homes on slab.

External Materials

Yes, we build in double clay brick. However, unlike a lot of other builders, we prefer to inspect the building site to recommend what we feel is the most appropriate construction method for the site and your particular region.

Internal Bricks

Your internal walls will be vertically cored clay bricks (not fastwall or concrete), which provide stronger walls for vertical load bearing. In fact, if your were to consider building a two-storey, the walls are strong enough to comply.

Brick Veneer

For brick veneer construction, we use first-grade frames and trusses, clad with high-quality plasterboard. Generally you will also benefit from timber (MDF) skirting and doorframes, and painted walls.

Plastering

We use a corner metal casing bead on high-traffic area corners that often take the knocks. This gives a much stronger plaster corner that will resist unsightly chips. We even do this with our plasterboard finishes.

External Face Bricks

We give you a wide choice of external face bricks from the major brick manufacturers.

Mortar Joints

We don't expect you to pay extra for mortar or the type of joints - so we give you cream mortar as standard, and you can have flushed, raked or rolled joints.

Front Door Frame

This is no "standard" doorframe. It is an Enviro-sealed frame with a non-slip aluminium tread and an inbuilt weather seal that prevents moisture penetration. It's actually made with what's called a double rebated frame, which will allow you to fit a front fly wire or security door without the need for costly modifications.

Front Door

We provide you with a solid, carved front entry door that has the added protection of pre-priming and is designed to fit the Enviro-sealed frame. This precision door should not need any on-site adjustment that could damage the priming and painted seal.

Internal Doors

Our range of internal doors come complete with a selection of Gainsborough 'easy opening' lever set handles in a choice of stylish finishes.

Security

We want you to have complete peace-of-mind. So, we install a Gainsborough Tri-lock front entrance set which includes a deadlock. All of our windows are fitted with locks as standard to allow you to enjoy cooling breezes while staying secure. These added security features will also help you lower your home insurance premiums.

Storage

Every home needs good storage areas. Ours include built-in-robes (with doors) and linen cupboards as shown on plan. The shelving to our robes and linen cupboards is a modular system that allows you more storage room and ventilates your clothes to keep them fresh. It also allows simple DIY upgrades to add a multiplicity of storage alternatives.

The Roof

We provide you with stylish Colorbond in a wide range of colours - not the less expensive Zincalume or concrete tile used by many bulders. It also has a matching Colorbond 'E-vent' to take out the hot air from the roof cavity in summer and improve the efficiency of the insulation.
